Rooted in land cultivated by the Griccioli family since 1760, Tenuta di Monte Chiaro embodies the soul of Tuscan winemaking. Guided today by Alessandro Griccioli, the estate continues a long family tradition while embracing a modern vision of organic, sustainable viticulture. His commitment to preserving and enhancing the ampelographic heritage of the Chianti region shapes every decision in the vineyard and in the cellar.
Set across 160 hectares of rolling countryside just outside Siena, the estate includes:
12 hectares of vineyards planted on historic hillsides
Over 2,000 olive trees producing premium organic olive oil
A beautifully restored 18th-century villa, only 10 km from Siena’s medieval center

Anno Domini'345 Chianti Colli Senesi
Crafted organically from native grapes, it reflects the heritage of Tuscan winemaking with vibrant fruit, gentle spice, and a fresh, elegant balance — a true expression of local culture and everyday Italian table life.
Anno Domini ‘345’ Riserva – Chianti Colli Senesi Heritage
Named for the birth year of Grigio da Barberino, ancestor of the Griccioli family, this Riserva represents the estate’s historic link to Chianti. It shows classic Chianti Colli Senesi notes of violets, cherry, and spice, supported by a balanced, persistent palate.
Primum Vinum – The Estate’s Supertuscan
Primum Vinum is Monte Chiaro’s bold, modern interpretation of Tuscany. Deep in color and generous in aroma, it offers notes of blackberry, cloves, chocolate and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and polished, shaped by elegant tannins and a long balsamic finish.
Arteliquida Bianco – Organic Tuscan White
Arteliquida Bianco is part of Monte Chiaro’s creative, organically farmed Arteliquida line. Produced in the hills around Siena, it reflects the estate’s focus on purity and minimalist winemaking, offering a fresh, clean expression of Tuscan white wine.
Arteliquida Rosso (Malvasia Nera)
Arteliquida Rosso showcases Tuscan red fruit with layers of spice, balsamic tones, and smooth, well-structured tannins. Crafted organically, it highlights the freshness and vibrancy of the hills around Siena while keeping a generous, full palate.
