Domaine de Valdition Vallon Rouge 2016
Syrah and Cabernet blend. Hand picked, and vinified in stainless steel tanks then oak. The typical soil of Roquemartine is very expressive in this wine, which showcases a dense and complex minerality. This wine is dominated by aromas of black fruits and pepper. A perfect pasta wine! Keep 6-8 years.

Domaine de Valdition sits on 240 hectares in Provence, in the heart of the Alpilles, between Orgon and Eygalières and near Saint-Rémy de Provence.
It was during the Renaissance that Francis I, King of France, donated this estate to his daughter Caroline of the Provost. She married the Sieur Dacla de Chateaubert whose family kept the estate for 4 centuries.
The low yields obtained on this unique terroir and the great diversity of grape varieties grown on the estate results in creative wines of the highest quality. Respect and love for the land have driven the Valdition team to become ever more involved in an environmental approach by moving to biodynamic farming in recent years. The wines of Valdition are the culmination of constant work with the sole objective of producing the highest quality wines from their unique terrior.
The wine shop at Valdition is a MUST stop for any traveler. Bring an extra large suitcase – there are so many gifts and crafts to admire. For a private visit, contact them here.
